Consultant Physician/ Chief Physician Wanted for Prima Vård's Women's Health Division in Skåne.

Prima Vård is one of Sweden's largest healthcare providers in primary care. Within the Women's and Children's Health division, the operations focus on this area and operate in Skåne, Stockholm, and Västra Götaland with brands such as Mama Mia, Barnmorskegruppen Öresund, BB Stockholm, and BVC Bambino, where the operations have agreements with the respective region.

The division's region in Skåne offers:

• 15 midwifery clinics according to the assignment from Region Skåne, including additional agreements for gynecological health, sexology, and menopause clinics.
• 13 child health care units according to the assignment from Region Skåne.
• 4 ultrasound clinics in Skåne.

Overall Assignment

The role of Chief Physician encompasses the entire Women's and Children's Health division of Prima Vård and reports to the division manager. The role of Consultant Physician includes medical responsibility for Prima Vård's operations within the region of Women's and Children's Health Skåne and reports to the regional manager for Skåne. The overall assignment involves ensuring high medical quality, patient safety, and efficient resource use in accordance with applicable legislation, agreements, and Prima Vård's core values, in close collaboration with the regional manager and division manager.

Main Responsibilities

Medical Management Responsibility (Chief Physician)

• Be responsible for medical quality, patient safety, and care hygiene within the entire Women's and Children's Health division.
• Act as a medical advisor to the division's top management and operational managers.
• Develop and follow up on medical guidelines, routines, and processes.
• Ensure that operations comply with applicable laws and regulations (e.g., HSLF-FS and SOSFS, patient safety law).
• Assist operational managers in handling deviations, Lex Maria reports, and medical risk assessments.
• Represent the division in medical and strategic collaboration forums both internally and externally.

Physician Responsibility (Consultant Physician – Skåne)

• Assist the regional manager in physician staffing, scheduling, and recruitment of physicians for Skåne's midwifery clinics.
• Assist the regional manager in leading and coordinating the daily work for physicians.
• Together with the regional manager, set and maintain the budget for all physician salaries and related personnel costs.
• Ensure together with the regional manager competence development, supervision, and continuing education for the physician group.
• Be available and clinically active at all clinics in Skåne according to an agreed plan.
• Actively contribute to the development of care chains and collaboration between midwifery clinics, delivery clinics, gynecological services, and other healthcare units.

Qualifications

• Licensed physician with specialist competence in obstetrics and gynecology.
• At least 5 years of experience as a specialist.
• Meritorious with documented experience of medical management responsibility or leadership roles.
• Meritorious with experience in staffing, scheduling, and personnel management.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

The Chief Physician role reports to: Division Manager for Women's and Children's Health
Location: Skåne, with clinical duties at units within the division which may involve travel within Skåne as part of the job
Vacation: According to collective agreements
Extent: Full-time/part-time as agreed
